A real WonderWoman cuff

Today with the help of Jen Leddy I shaped the cuff I had cut out last week. For the sake of learning it is very simple, brass with a brush finish, after this I may try my hand at more elaborate cutting designs.

Lately I have been learning how to hand cut metals with the saw. A great learning experience in how finesse can be more effective than force. Angie got me started with some very basic designs to learn on, I will be ready to shape the larger cuff next time, and will be cutting out the smaller one.

Apples, pears, earrings... Oh My!

A very productive day for me with more work on the simple line, and 3 new pairs of earrings! 4 including the pair on bottom right that I had finished last monday. Working with different finishes and getting my fingers dirty definitely the best aspect of this set of earrings!

I've spent the last couple of days creating different finishes for the little brass, copper, & silver disks to be apart of Angie's Simple line, and today I have a finished pair of earrings, very exciting for me!

Also I have finished

my first pair of bridal earrings for my best friend Melanie's bridesmaids, there will be 6 pairs of these lovelies when I am finished.

Brass, silver & copper earrings

This Sunday I had some practice with punching out little circles from copper, silver & brass. As you can see all the little circles like pennies, quarters and gold dollars. To finish them Angie showed me how to cup the disks forming beautiful little round bowls. These will be made into varying pairs of earrings.

Today I worked a little more on the necklace Erica & I started & was able to finish it, plus create a pair of dangly earrings to match it. Katherine & I played dress up a little pit & I tried to pretend I was a bride for the sake of the photo, why am I staring at the ceiling? Do brides do that?

Beginning work on the Bridal Collection

Erica & I started helping out with the bridal collection for all the Spring & Summer brides. Very exciting to be making special occasion pieces. We worked on a piece together that involved many precious little bales & beautiful white & peach fresh water pearls. This is my half!
